【Scouts of China holds first World Jamboree for Ethnic Chinese Scouts】

Over 4,000 Scouts gathered at the scenic Wusanto Reservior in Tainan City,
有四千對位童軍伙伴齊聚台南的烏山頭水庫
south of Taiwan for the first World Jamboree for Ethnic Chinese Scouts hosted by the Scouts of China on 4th-9th July 2009.
中華民國童軍總會在2009年7月4日到9日舉辦第一次全球華人童軍大露營
The beautiful display of fireworks and aboriginal dance was combined with a good performance of the Cub Scouts choir as they performed at the inauguration of the event.
在開幕典禮上有原住民傳統舞蹈以及精采的煙火秀，而小狼合唱團也有精采的表演
With over 400 overseas Scouts from 11 countries, the Jamboree was organized to further strengthen unity among Chinese Scouts. The largest overseas contingent was from the Philippines with boy Scouts and girl Scouts from Chiang Kai Shek College.
有11個國家400多位外國伙伴參與這一次的盛會，而最大的代表團是來自菲律賓的蔣中正學院
As July is a summer season in this country, Scouts enjoyed immensely their stay at the camp which provided them to experience new adventures. A wide range of activities was prepared divided into four key programme areas: culture activities, Scouting skills, sports and environmental protection.
盛夏的七月，參加的伙伴盡情的享受活動帶給他們的旅程，而活動分為四個領域分別是文化活動、童軍技能、體能活動以及環境保護
The Vice-Minister of Education, in his remarks at the inauguration ceremony, encouraged the Scouts to enjoy the fun of learning while making new friends. Chairman and Chief Commissioner Dr Chao, Shou-Po stressed on the focus on environment protection and preservation.
教育部次長在開幕典禮上鼓勵我國青少年參與童軍活動並結交更多的朋友，而總會趙守博理事長表示環境保護是目前重要的議題
Seen at the event were World Scout Committee member Eric Khoo, Regional Scout Committee member Prakorb Mukura, former World Scout Committee member Dr Kao, Anthony Chan and Alexander Wong from Hong Kong and Regional Director Abdullah Rasheed.
